The Camino or Route of the Lighthouses

The Camino de los Faros

As we know, Galicia is full of hiking routes, all of which are full of spectacular beauty, characteristic of Galicia.

Today, we will talk a little about one of these routes, a route where the sea is the main protagonist, and it passes by all the lighthouses of the Costa da Morte, "O Camiño dos Faros".

A 200-kilometer hiking route divided into 8 stages that connects Malpica with Finisterre, hugging the entire coastline, with the sea as its inseparable companion.

A trail that crosses many different landscapes with the sea always as a companion, guiding us through lighthouses, beaches, forests, towns, viewpoints, and stunning sunsets.

This route evokes sensations never before experienced, leaving a lasting mark on your life. Many prestigious magazine critics consider this route as "The jewel of the country", and others include it in the Top 10 of all existing routes. We have something magical, highly regarded both nationally and internationally. If you haven't visited it yet, immerse yourself in this adventure and live magical and unforgettable experiences.

Being a route along the edge of the sea doesn't mean it's a beach route. The terrain is of medium difficulty, as this coast is very rugged. The difficulty increases as the stages progress. You don't need exceptional physical condition to do it, just prepare a little before the hike, and you will enjoy this adventure very much and be amazed by the beauty of its landscapes.
